Is it big enough?这个洞大小够了吗？

3.1enough作副词时，表示“足够地；充足地”，可用来修饰形容词、副词和动词，且必须放在它们之后。

4.Maybe you should make the hole a little bigger.你还需要把洞再挖大一点。

It must be large enough to hold the roots of the seedling.它必须足够大，能盖得住幼苗的根部。

4.1make the hole a little bigger属于“make 宾语 宾语补足语”结构，宾语补足语由形容词比较级a little bigger充当。

4.2形容词比较级前可以用much，far，a lot，a little ,still，even等修饰，也可以用否定词no修饰。

4.3enough to do sth...足够做；足以做某事；足以用来做某事。

4.4the roots of the seedling幼苗的根部。

5.Now, put the seedling inside, cover the roots and fill the hole with dirt.现在，把幼苗放进去，用土把根部盖住，把洞填满。

Then pack the dirt around the new tree with your feet.

然后用脚把树周围的土压实点。

5.1inside[ˌɪnˈsaɪd]副词，在(或向)里面;

5.2cover动词，盖住；覆盖；常与with搭配。

cover...with...用……覆盖……，

be covered with...被……霞盖。

5.3fill sth. with sth.用某物填充某物

be filled with装满；盛满；充满。

5.4dirt不可数名词，泥土。

5.5pack动词，（把…）打包，（把…）装箱;收拾（行李）;包装，装（箱）;（用柔软材料）把…裹（包）起来;（用某物）保存，保藏;在（容器中的食物）上覆盖物质（以防止腐烂）;挤满，塞满;堆积，压实;填封 (空隙、漏缝等);

①pack in停止做；堆满；挤满；塞满；

②pack into往…塞入；将…塞进； 挤满；装满；

③pack off把…打发到；

④pack up打点（行装）； （机器）出故障，停止工作；（身体器官）衰竭。

6.2a group of一群，一般情况后跟可数名词复数。

A group of kids like here一群小孩在这里，kids这里是复数，所以谓语动词用like。

7.Yes.Many people are worried because the environment is changing,and they want to do something to help.是的。因为环境在变化，许多人很担心，他们都想做些事情来帮助改善。

7.1do something to help其中to help是动词不定式作目的状语。

8.These changes are serious.

这些变化很严重。

When there is a dust storm in spring,it gets windy and dirty everywhere.

春天有沙尘暴时，到处都是风和土。

8.1change名词，①作“改变,变化”解时是可数名词；

②change作“找回的钱”解时,其前不加冠词,是不可数名词; 作“零钱”解其前加定冠词the,是不可数名词。

③change后可有of短语或动词不定式作定语来修饰。

在a change of air, a change of address, a change of heart等短语中, of后的名词前都不加冠词。

8.2用作动词 ，基本意思是使事物变得与以往不同,指事物发生了本质的变化或指一事物取代了另一事物。

change A for B用A换B；

change A into B把A变成B；

change one's mind改变某人的主意。

8.3a dust storm一场沙尘暴。

8.4it gets windy and dirty everywhere.

属于系表结构，系动词为get。

8.5windy形容词，有风的；刮风的；多风的。

9Ms. Liu told us the wind blows the dirt and the sand here from the north.刘老师告诉我们风把北方的沙土都吹过来了。

Nothing can stop the wind because there are not many trees left.由于没有太多的树，没有什么能阻挡住风。

9.1Liu told us后面为宾语从句。

9.2the dirt and the sand沙土。

9.3left为过去分词作后置定语。

10.Exactly. A lot of rich lands in the northern area have turned into desert.没错。在北部地区，很多肥沃的土地已经变成了沙漠。

10.1land土地，可数名词，rich land肥沃的土地。

10.3turn into变成。

11.I suppose tree planting is very important work.

我想种树是一项非常重要的工作。

11.1suppose后接宾语从句。

11.2for sure肯定的；当然。

12.1 It's 形容词 to do sth.做某事是……的。

12.2It’s 形容词 for/of sb.to do sth.用for/of要看那个形容词是否可以修饰那个sb.:

①不可以修饰sb.的用for（意思是“对某人来说，干某事是很……的”！）

It’s difficult for me to find it。对我来说，找到它是很难的。

difficult是不可以用来修饰人的，总不能说“你很困难”吧？

②可以用来修饰sb的，用of（意思是“某人干什麽事是很……的”）

It’s kind of you to help me。你帮了我，真是好人。

kind是可以修饰人的，所以要用of。

12.3remember to do sth.记得要做某事。(事情还没做)

remember doing sth.记得做过某事(事情已经做了)

12.4put sth. (A) in sth.(B)把某物(A)放进某物(B)。
