either和both的区别，Either的用法

1[心]作量词:适用范围是两者。“两者之一”。

(1)单独＋名词单数，谓语动词单三。

如 One of the two answers is right.

→ Either answer.

(2) either＋side边/ end端/ hand手，在一定的上下文中表“两者都”。

如 He came in with an apple in either hand.他进来两个手里都拿着一个苹果。

2[心]作代词:适用范围是两者。“两者之一”。

(1)单独用。

(2) either of ~词组。(＋复数代词/复数名词)。

如 Which is a capital city，New York or Moscow？

→Either is.

→Either of them is ＝Either of the cities is.( either作主语，动词单三)。

3[心]作副词:否定句中表“也”。

即not ～either＝neither /nor.

A:I don't like beef.我不喜欢牛肉。

B:I don't like it ，either.我也不喜欢牛肉。

4[心]并列连词: either~ or~表示“二选一”

要么~要么/或者~或者。

(1)either, or各自引导一个平衡的成份。

(2)引导并列主语时，谓语动词就近原则。

如 Either you or I am wrong.wrong.
